There is a layer cake, a pyramid scheme if you will, that exists in most of America’s larger churches.  Just try to get a meeting with the head pastor and see if you can.  Ok, when that doesn’t work try setting up an appointment to speak with an assistant or elder and see what happens.  You will get an entry level person to sit you down as a method of control.  They don’t want you wasting the pastor’s valuable time, or any other important member of the church staff for that matter. These Church 2.0 Local Forums have been informal/casual, kind of unconferences where I come with no set agenda or presentation and simply listen and guide conversation.
